Young Artist Appeal

Help Support the Next Generation of Singers

From 12 May 2026 we are launching an urgent appeal to support our work with young artists and unlock £15,000 of matched funds.

Nurturing outstanding emerging artists is central to our mission. For over two decades we have played a pivotal role in the development of many of the country’s most accomplished singers. We are working harder than ever to create performance opportunities for exceptional artists at the outset of their careers and to present dedicated opera projects for emerging artists, but we cannot do this without support.

“Every time I get to make music with The Mozartists is extremely special. The expertise that Ian brings to this repertoire is invaluable… Never have I seen a group of musicians who are constantly pushing each other to be and play their best. Simply being around them makes you want to become better.”

– Emily Pogorelc (soprano)

“Working with The Mozartists was such a positive and rewarding experience. Working with lovely people, who became friends, made the work so enjoyable and I felt free and open to exploring ideas.”

– Ava Dodd (soprano)

“It’s actually very difficult to get concert work in this country, outside of the standard oratorio pieces, so this was really a rare opportunity… Ian also offered me unlimited coaching on the pieces, and prepared me thoroughly for the concert.”

– Alexandra Lowe (soprano)

“It’s not an exaggeration to say that our ‘Finta’ has been one of the most important musical experiences thus far in my career… I’m very grateful to have [Ian Page] as a musical mentor at this stage of my career.”

– Hugo Brady (tenor)

“As young singers establish their careers, what we most need is meaningful performance experience within organisations that value artistic development. The main challenges are often access to opportunities, financial instability, and navigating the transition from training to professional life. Working with companies like The Mozartists provides not only performance experience, but also mentorship and artistic standards that shape long-term growth.”

– Zheng Jiang (countertenor)

“This is something unique about The Mozartists – they have achieved the rare combination of top-quality venues, repertoire and established artists, while providing valuable opportunities for young singers…I do not see this mixture of youth, established artists and professionalism anywhere else.”

– Jacques Imbrailo (baritone)

“It’s only when companies are able to give young performers the opportunity to hone their musical and stagecraft skills through various platforms, such as concerts and workshops, that they are able to grow and prosper as artists. In my experience, The Mozartists certainly succeeds at nurturing young singers!”

– Kiandra Howarth (soprano)
