Our ground-breaking MOZART 250 series comes of age as we explore Mozart’s output from 1777, the year in which he turned twenty-one. Following his memorable company début in June 2026, acclaimed Dutch fortepianist Ronald Brautigam makes a welcome return to perform the ‘Jeunnehomme’ concerto, widely acknowledged as one of Mozart’s earliest masterpieces, while regular company principal James Eastaway is the soloist in the composer’s delightful oboe concerto. The programme also contains one of Mozart’s most exquisite concert arias, of which the renowned Mozart scholar Alfred Einstein wrote: “[Mozart] almost never wrote anything more ambitious, or containing stronger dramatic feeling.” This concert marks The Mozartists début at St Martin-in-the-Fields, one of the world’s most famous 18th-century concert venues.
