Ambroisine Bré (mezzo-soprano) studied at the Paris Regional Conservatory and Paris National Conservatory and has won numerous singing competitions, including four awards at “Mozart de l’Opéra” (Théâtre des Champs-Elysées) and the Lili Boulanger International Competition. She made her debut with The Mozartists in ‘Jommelli – A Celebration’ in September 2024. She has performed extensively in Europe, including at the Wiener Staatsoper, Theater an der Wien, Prague National Theatre, Luxembourg Philharmonie, the Berlin Staatsoper, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and Opéra Comique in Paris, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Royal Opera at Versailles, Opéra National du Rhin in Strasbourg, La Monnaie in Brussels, Radio-France Festival in Montpellier, the opera houses in Lille, Bordeaux, Limoges, Saint- Etienne and Lausanne, Festival Berlioz and the festivals at Deauville, La Chaise-Dieu, Beaune and Menton. Her opera roles have included Lazuli (Chabrier’s L’Etoile) Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Sesto (La Clemenza di Tito), Dorabella (Così fan tutte), Flora (La Traviata), Mercédès (Carmen), Mama, Chinese Cup & Dragonfly (Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortilèges), Urbai (Meyerbeer’s Les Huguenots) Mallika (Lakmé), Dorothée (Cendrillon), Virtu & Ottavia (L’incoronazione di Poppea), and the title roles in Cherubini’s Andromaque and Lully’s Armide. She has previously appeared at Wigmore Hall with Christophe Rousset and Les Talens Lyriquese Hall, and her other concert work has included appearances with Le Concert de la Loge, Ensemble Jupiter, Le Poème Zarmonique (Egisto) and Les Epopées (Ruggiero in Handel’s Alcina). Future performances include Isolier (Le Comte Ory) at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, The Sound of Music with Les Talens Lyriques, Mercédès (Carmen) and Aréthuse-La Paix (Proserpine) at the Versailles Royal Opera.
