“There have been other recordings of this opera, but I can’t imagine them being any better than this one from Ian Page and the Mozartists. They are an outstanding group of musicians, and they’re blessed with at least two world-class singers…soprano Klara Ek, in the role of Melia, is thrilling, completely captivating, and a grand master of trills and ornaments. And in the role of Oebalus, tenor Andrew Kennedy is ready for prime time. Urgently recommended.”
