Jacques Imbrailo (tenor) studied at the Royal College of Music under Ryland Davies and on the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme at the Royal Opera House, winning the Audience Prize at the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition in 2007. He first worked with The Mozartists (then Classical Opera) in 2006 singing Mozart at Wigmore Hall, and the following year he sang the role of Guglielmo in the company’s production of Così fan tutte. In 2012 he featured in Handel’s Messiah at Wigmore Hall, and in 2016 he sang the title role in the company’s performance of Don Giovanni at Cadogan Hall. Other roles include Valentin (Gounod’s Faust) for Baden-Baden, Don Giovanni for Scottish Opera, Tarquinius (The Rape of Lucretia) in Florence and Houston, Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro) for the Royal Opera House, Welsh National Opera and Opéra de Lille, Aeneas (Dido and Aeneas) for Opera di Roma, the title role in Billy Budd for Glyndebourne Festival Opera, and Figaro (The Barber of Seville) for Welsh National Opera.
