Maryam Wocial (soprano) is an MMus postgraduate at the Royal College of Music. At RCM, she is a Poppy Holden Scholar supported by the Cuthbert Smith Scholarship, and holds a first class BA degree in Music from Oxford University. Opera roles include Anastasia Romanov in the world premiere of Jasmine Morris’s Church on the Blood for the Royal College of Music in collaboration with Tête à Tête Opera. In concert, she has performed in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Couperin’s Trois Leçons de Ténèbres, and Bach’s St John Passion. She was selected as the soprano soloist for the RCM’s 2024 Bach Cantata Concert and will be an Early Career Fellow with The English Concert during the 2024–25 season.
