Kiandra Howarth (soprano) trained at Queensland Conservatorium. She has won First Prize in the Magda Olivero International Lyric Opera Competition, the CulturArte Prize in Operalia, First Prize in the Joan Sutherland & Richard Bonynge Bel Canto Award and third place in the International Elizabeth Connell Prize for Dramatic Sopranos. She is a former member of the Opera Queensland Young Artist Programme (2011), Opera Australia Young Artist Programme (2012), Salzburg Festival Young Singers Project (2013), Jette Parker Young Artist Programme (2013–15), and ensemble member for the Staatsoper Hannover. Opera roles include Konstanze (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) at the Grange Festival, Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Fiordiligi (Cosi fan tutte), Freia (Das Rheingold), Mimi (La Boheme), Dorota (Schwanda der Dudelsackpfifer), Countess (Le nozze di Figaro), the title role in Arabella, Die Feldmarschallin (Der Rosenkavalier), Magda (La Rondine) and Angelica and Giorgetta (Trittico).
