Jamie Woollard (bass) is a graduate of the Royal College of Music Opera Studio, and was a Jette Parker Artist at the Royal Opera House. Opera roles at Covent Garden include Zuniga (Carmen), Count Ceprano (Rigoletto), Dumas (Andrea Chénier), and Sciarrone (Tosca). In Summer 2023 Jamie was a Jerwood Young Artist for Glyndebourne Opera Festival, where he covered Snug in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and played Thierry in Poulenc’s Dialogues des carmélites. Recent concert highlights include Mozart’s Requiem at St Martin’s in the Fields, the premiere of Barlow’s Requiem with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, and Handel’s Messiah with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in December 2023. He is a Samling Artist, as well as a BBC Music Magazine ‘Rising Star’.
