Ellie Laugharne (soprano) studied at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, and won the Maggie Teyte Prize before becoming a Jerwood Young Artist at the Glyndebourne Festival. She is also a Samling Artist and an Associate Artist of The Mozartists, with whom her previous engagements have included Emirena (J. C. Bach’s Adriano in Siria), Temperantia (UK première of Haydn’s Applausus), Bastienne (Bastien und Bastienne), and Zerlina (Don Giovanni). Other roles have included Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) at Glyndebourne, Opera North and The Grange Festival, Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) and a staged production of Mozart’s Requiem for Opera North, Frasquita (Carmen) for ENO and Scottish Opera, and Governess (The Turn of the Screw), Tina (Flight) and Zerlina for Opera Holland Park.
